A WET BUNNINGS BBQ

6/17/2016

HVORRA conducted the BBQ at Bunnings (Singleton) on Sunday, which once again proves that some off roaders are crazy, as they were working in very trying conditions. Although we were lucky that the gale force winds that were predicted did not arrive and we only had to contend with the constant rain.

Jan was in her element as she had never had a cubby house growing up, she pretended this great BBQ set up was a cubby house. Jan, Scott, Luke & Rikki put their cooking skills to the test, Shaun was an excellent saucer & bread man, Marion & Kylie were busy taking food orders and calculating totals. We did have to send Grahame, Rikki & Kristy for more bread as MB would only purchase 15 loaves to start with.

The main aim of the day was to promote our upcoming Milbrodale Mountain Classic event while raising some much needed funds for charity. It was great that Scott brought his buggy to put on display which created interested with some of the die- hards and many advertising flyers on MCC were also distributed.

Thank you to all who helped out & I hope you enjoyed a nice hot shower when you got home because I certainly did.

All in all it was profitable and the $500 plus profit will go to our three charities, Witmore,  CanTeen  & Simply Loving Taylor.
Well done team!!
