The Inaugural Milbrodale Mountain Classic was founded in 1985 by Ian and Jan Hedley. The Hedley’s approached local land owners who were willing to allow an off road racing event to be held on their property. In the first two years the Milbrodale Mountain Classic was organized by the Sydney Recreational Vehicle Association (SRVA). In 1987 HVORRA was established by Ian & Jan Hedley and Marion & Graeme Baxter. The new members of HVORRA then took on the major task of conducting this annual event.
Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association was formed to promote the sport of Off Road Racing in Australia and to conduct two events annually.
The Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association is proud of the success of these events and the benefits these weekends bring to the Singleton area and in particular the Bulga and Milbrodale communities.
This organization hold monthly meetings at the Singleton Diggers Club to discuss National and State events on the Australian Off Road Calendar. These meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month at the Singleton Diggers Club. Members also attend regular working bees at our Milbrodale venue to maintain and prepare our track for our annual events.
