Good Afternoon,
Just a reminder that there are three (3) training modules that are being held that I believe will be of great benefit to your clubs in assisting with provisioning motor sport for your club’s membership. I would ask that you make the details of the training modules outlined below known to your club’s members, through your various channels:- Bronze Timekeeping (also known as Timing & Scoring)* Sunday 27 November 2016 Tamworth (exact venue within Tamworth TBC) 9:00 a.m. commencement (will most likely run all day) The Timekeeping Training Module is extremely important if your club holds CAMS-permitted Off Road, Race, Rally (including Rallysprints), Rallycrosses / Multicar Supersprints or State Championship Rounds of events within the ‘Speed’ or ‘Autotest’ discipline (e.g. Motorkhana or Hillclimb), as a Bronze level Timekeeper is an ‘Essential Official’ in these events & CAMS Permits will not issue a permit for events without someone who is accredited being in the listing of the event’s officials. The other factor is that I know that this training module is being run in Tamworth in November 2016, I can’t tell you when the previous one was held in the region or when the next Timekeeper Training Module will be run in the region. Course Presenter** Saturday 25 February 2017 Kempsey (exact venue within Kempsey TBC) 9:00 a.m. commencement (will most likely run all day) This is an extremely important training module to increase the ability to hold CAMS training modules in your club’s local area. Training modules can be conducted in a ‘team’ situation, similar to a ‘team’ event assessment. For example, a person who holds a Course Presenter accreditation (but doesn’t hold a Timekeeper accreditation) can team up with someone who holds a Bronze / Silver / Gold Timekeeper accreditation to run a Bronze Timekeeper Training Module. Event Assessor** Sunday 26 February 2017 Tamworth (exact venue within Tamworth TBC) 9:00 a.m. commencement (will most likely run all day) *Attendees are not required to hold a CAMS General Officials’ accreditation to be eligible to attend, however, they will be required to obtain one prior to undertaking an Event Assessment. **There is a prerequisite that attendees must hold a CAMS accreditation other than General Official. For you or your club’s members to enrol in any of these training modules, please have them complete the registration form on the following webpage:- http://www.cams.com.au/get-involved/officials/training As always, I am happy to discuss this matter with you or your club’s members in further detail, please feel free to contact me. Kind regards, Shawn Fitzgerald | Sport & Club Development Officer NSW / ACT
